Today I have the luxury of spending time with 2 of our 5 children. We went to the pool. Asher my oldest, went off the diving board for his first time. Yes, I know he is 9 but, we live in the country, I have had babies back to back, and this is the first time ever in the history of our 12 years of marriage that Jared works within 5 miles of our home! Enough said! Not only did he jump, he flipped, and he cannon balled! He learned that sometimes when you over shoot, a stinging red sensation can consume every part of your body that made that initial contact with the water. He sort of limped to the car with the satisfaction of knowing he had walked in moments of courage. Oh the glory!
Ariel is my 2 year old. The baby whom everyone adores. She is potty training. Public facilities have toilets, not potties. I brought her into the restroom stall telling her to "hold on" while I grabbed a soapy paper towel. Side note: I have unfond olfactory memory from summer time swim pool public restrooms. YUCK, wet toilet paper, YUCK smells, YUCK. I may need a sozo over this issue.... Okay, Ari said,"look gum," as she lunged her hand into the potty to pull out the treasured ABC(already been chewed) gum. I shrieked, "NNNOOOOO!" Her hand did not make it to the intended destination. I feel like I need to be bathed in bleach. Not really.
Thought I would NEVER say..."NO, Stop! Do not grab and chew that ABC gum from the public swim pool toilet! YUCKY, YUCKY, YUCKY!"
Celebrating the Minor...Ari did not retrieve the gum and put it into her mouth! Yeah!

It is finished...Appliance Croak
Remember how I was sharing our broken stuff? Kinda saw it coming. More like, smelled it coming. Our blender. Smoothy lovin', protein shake making, smellin' the motor burnin' blender croaked this morning. I guess when a few metal pieces break off while blending, it 's official. The blender croaked.
While writing, I had 2 of my kiddos playing horsey on my back. Guess who the horsey is? You can't call me a horse or I will be highly offended!

We Arrived!
Have you ever had appliance failure? We fit into that catagory today! Could do without most of these items but, why? My hair dryer died. Dishwasher died. Tiller has broken tynes and can no longer handle reverse, wimp. Clothes dryer makes holes in every load we have, knew I needed a clothes line. Ohh and the cars. Family mini van in the shop. We drove our truck into town today. Clark (truck) had some issues while he was driving us into town. Clark is our farm truck. Not a lot is asked of him. Drive us to the dump. Haul materials. Be available on our farm, not "drive us to the city ol' Boy! "
Ol' Clark got stage fright in the city of Nashville today. As we drove from our small town trying to make it to a speaking engagement in Nashville, he stuttered... transmission? The rains came and he had no way to wipe away His tears. Yep, the windshield wipers were broken. Ol' Clark does not get heated often, only his family. AC is not a necessity either. Blinkers or the other hand. Well, let's just say, Ol' Clark was not flashy or blinky on his right or left side today. The rains came and Ol' Clark did not wipe a single tear, which meant limited visibility for a while. All I could do was laugh. Add our five children into the mix, it was comical. "What time is it?" "Are we there yet?" "Are we going to wreck?" "Are we late?"
We borrowed my in-laws car because they are out of town. We made it to our destination! We ARRIVED!!!
Silly, life minors happen! I am aware that our family is happy and lively! I am thankful. I love the Father of all. I know He has plans for us...purpose! Now, celebration is in order!
As an encouragement to my loved ones.... CELEBRATE THE MINORS!!! Many times we have goals we arrive at, only to keep forging ahead. CELEBRATE THE MINORS!
We arrived at the destination a bit late. WE ARRIVED!!! We did not damage our children in the process of getting there. YEAH!
